Motorcyclist Dies at the Scene of Accident
A 46 year old man from Modesto, was killed in an accident near Los Banos. The accident occurred on Highway 33 and Cottonwood Road, Thursday morning.
According to witnesses and California Highway Patrol officers, the man was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson south of the freeway. He was following several vehicles and a Peterbuilt big rig. The driver of the Peterbuilt slowed down and signaled in order to make a left turn.
The motorcyclist crossed a double yellow line and started to pass traffic. He swerved to avoid the truck when he lost control of his motorcycle. He crashed his motorcycle on the side of the big rig. Sadly, he died at the scene of the accident. His identity hasn’t been released to the public.
An investigation is taking place to confirm witness reports of the accident.
